However, singer and creator Suresh Anjan has demonstrated just how expansive and global the horizon of Nepali folk music has become. His latest song, ‘Lawnani Yasto Bhaye Ma Kina?’, has taken Nepali Lok Dohori straight to the African continent, creating a unique milestone in Nigeria.
Featuring an unprecedented cultural fusion of Nepali and Nigerian artists, the music video has crossed the one million views mark on YouTube within a week of its release, quickly going viral across various social media platforms.
The most compelling and attractive aspect of this release is the unconventional approach to its video production. Shot entirely on location in Nigeria, Africa, the music video seamlessly integrates Nepali cultural identity with an international backdrop.
In a beautiful display of unity, established Nepali artists and local Nigerian performers groove to the same rhythm, proving on screen that music truly knows no borders or language barriers.
The song features the soulful vocals of Suresh Anjan and the popular singer Anjita Bishwokarma, with lyrics and composition crafted by Suresh Anjan himself.
