Leadership and Service : A New Chapter for Rotary E-Club of District 3292

Kathmandu – The Rotary E-Club of District 3292, Nepal, successfully held its Club Installation Ceremony for 2024 at Indreni Suites Hotel, Kathmandu, Nepal. Rotarian Raj Shrestha assumed office as the 12th President, along with his board, for the Rotary Year 2024-25. The club, chartered on May 13, 2013, operates under Rotary International District 3292, Nepal-Bhutan.

The installation ceremony was attended by over 60 participants, including club members, spouses, Rotaractors, Interactors, RotaKids, and District leaders and officials. Chief Guest and Immediate Past District Governor (IPDG) Rajendra Prasad Dhoju, along with District Governor Nominee (DGN) Vishnu Bahadur Karki and his spouse, honored the event. They spoke about the significance of Rotary in community development and the crucial role of leadership.

Assistant Governor (AG) Pravin Bhattarai emphasized the importance of the interdependence between the District and the Club to foster a lasting impact at the community level. He also shared the vision of RI President Stephanie A. Urchik and her theme, “The Magic of Rotary,” as well as the goals set forth by District Governor 2024-25 Rajendra Man Sherchan. AG Bhattarai pledged to strengthen the bridge between the District and the Club for enhanced performance and cooperation.

President Raj Shrestha outlined his vision and Plan of Action for Rotary Year 2024-25. He highlighted the significant contributions of the Rotary E-Club of District 3292, Nepal, to the community, including the earthquake rehabilitation project valued at Rs. 67,00,000 in Dalsinge, Kavre, ongoing scholarship support for underprivileged school children, mental health programs, environmental conservation initiatives, peace-building efforts, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects. He expressed his commitment to developing new leadership capable of carrying forward the club’s good deeds, embodying the motto “Service Above Self.”

During the event, eight Charter Members of the club and three SEE graduates were felicitated. Poonam Thapa, who achieved the highest points in the Rotary Learning Center and reached the Top 11 in the District, was also honored with an appreciation from President Raj Shrestha and Chief Guest IPDG Rajendra Dhoju.
